A nearby brewery was serving chana-masala tater tots, with another hot sauce. I love that hot sauce, but chana masala tots felt like they needed something different. I realized I haven’t seen any desi inspired hot sauces anywhere - at least not so ubiquitous as the one this brewery was offering.
I figured my mom’s Bombay frankie chutney would be perfect - tangy, tart, with a kick of heat at the end - like mango pickle in an everyday hot sauce. After folks seemed to really dig it at a local block party, I spent the past few weeks to bottle it up in my kitchen. Even sold a few through a local meal service (THANK YOU JOONA, and have gotten prelim orders (pending FDA compliance) from some local businesses that tried samples.
Proudly made in Kingston, New York this tangy hot sauce was inspired by a Bombay street-food chutney. Initial pop of mango pickle takes you on a ride to an invigorating kick your taste-buds crave.
Perfectly drizzled over your breakfast eggs, on rice bowls, as a dip for kati rolls, wings, pizza, curries, dumplings, popcorn; Cat Eye even goes great shaken into a Bloody Mary.
Cat Eye brings enhances flavors and adds a kick to every meal. Prioritizing taste over heat, Cat Eye is your everyday sauce.
